2027 Prep Enrolments
The Department of Education has released the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2026 school year.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Officer Primary School.
All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2025 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2026 school year.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2026 at Officer Primary from 20th April 2026.
What you need to do:
- Contact our school to book a school tour or to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process.
- Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available by 20th April 2026).
- Submit your online application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 31st July 2026.
- You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3rd August and Friday 14th August 2026. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should respond to the offer on VicStudents by Friday 28th August 2026.
- You and your child will be invited to attend a get-to-know-you interview during September and October.
- Take part in information and transition sessions from 1st September and throughout Term 4, 2026.
- Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday 28th January 2027.
Enrolment applications submitted after 25 July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Visit students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form. Please ensure that all documents required are attached to the application.
